Eligibility Criterion & Qualification for AFCAT exam:

• AFCAT has setup own eligibility criteria which apply male and female aspirants to join in flying and ground duty (technical and non-technical) branches through AFCAT 2019. The eligibility criteria have applied both the branches.

Flying Branch for AFCAT Exam –

• Upper Age Limit: 20 to 24 years: Relaxation for Candidates having valid Commercial Pilot License by DGCA OR Born Between 02 January 1997 to 01 January 2001 (both dates inclusive).
• Qualification:
  Graduation from Recognized University in any stream.
  Marks Obtained: Minimum 60% in Total
  Compulsory Subjects in 10+2 or Equivalent: Mathematics & Physics
  OR
  B.E |B.Tech course from recognized university
• Marks Obtained: Minimum 60% in Total

Technical Branch for AFCAT Exam-

• Age Limit: 20 to 26 years as on 01 January
  OR Born 02 January 1995 to 01 January 2001 (both dates inclusive)
• Qualification for Aeronautical Engineer Electronics AE(L)Branch:
  Engineering Course of Four Years from recognized university
  OR
  Candidates who have passed Examination  of Associate Membership Section – A and Section – B of Institute of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers.
  Marks Obtained: Minimum 60% in Total
• Qualification for Aeronautical Engineer Mechanical AE(M) Branch:
  Engineering Course of Four Years from recognized university
  OR
  Candidates who have passed Examination of Associate Membership Section – A and Section – B of Institution of Engineers or Aeronautical Society of India.
  Marks Obtained: Minimum 60% in Total

Ground Duty Branch for AFCAT Exam-

• Age Limit for Graduates: 20 to 26 years as on 01 January
  Age Limit for Students Attending Five Years Integrated Courses (Graduation + Integrated Course): 20 to 26 years as on 01 January
  Age Limit for LLB Students (attending three years course after graduation): 20 to 26 years as on 01 January
• Qualification for Administration & Logistics Branch for AFCAT Exam:
  Graduation (three years course) from Recognized College  in any stream
  Marks Obtained: Minimum 60% in Total
  OR
  Post-Graduation or Equivalent Degree from Recognized College in any stream
  Marks Obtained: Minimum 50% in Total
• Qualification for Accounts Branch for AFCAT Exam:
  Graduation in Commerce Field / B.Com from Recognized College
  Marks Obtained: Minimum 60% in Total

OR
Post Graduate Degree / M.Com / CA / ICWA from Recognized College
Marks Obtained: Minimum 50% in Total

• Qualification for Education Department:

Post Graduate Degree in any stream
Marks Obtained: Minimum 50% in Total

Selection Procedure for AFCAT Exam:

• Stage1 – Screening Test , Written Test , Document Verification – One Day
• Stage2 – Psychological Test, Group Test, Interview – Five Days
• Stage3 – Only for Flying Branch – Pilot Aptitude Battery Test PABT
