Combined Defense Services exam is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year. For the recruitment of candidates for the various positions in the Army , Navy and Air Force. The candidates, who get to pass through the Interview as well, are sent to one of the Five National Institutes for orientation training. The choice of Institute depends on the Candidate’s merit list and choice as listed in the application form.

Examination Date For CDS Exam 2020 

Candidate Eligility For CDS Exam:-

• The candidate applying for IMA and OTA must have a degree from a recognized university.
• The candidates applying for Indian Naval Academy, you should have an Engineering Degree from a recognized university.
• For all the posts of CDS, its mandatory to have Physics and Maths in your 12 standard.

CDS Exam Syllabus:-

The CDS Exam syllabus will be decided by the union public services commission. And the proper understanding of syllabus will help the candidates while their preparation for the Exam.

Application Fee for the Exam:-

The application fee for the CDS exam is Rs. 200/-. Candidates from reserved category and female candidates can fill the online application form of CDS exam 2019 at free of cost.

Examination Pattern:-

The CDS Written Exam is conducted  in offline mode. Except English section. In this question paper, objective type questions will be asked. These questions will be taken from   English, Elementary Mathematics, and General Knowledge. With every wrong answer, 1/3^rd of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted from the candidate’s score.
