About IMU CET Exam Preparation Classes In Chandigarh & Delhi

IMU facilitate and promote maritime studies, training, research and extension work with focus on emerging areas of studies like oceanography, maritime history, maritime laws  etc. To take admission in UG and PG programmes at IMU and its affiliated institutes will be through All-India Common Entrance Tests (CETs). This exam is conducted every year 2 times, usually in the month of November and May. University is focusing on developing the policies that will cater to needs of maritime industry.

Eligibility Criteria

Following are the eligibility criteria:

1. Candidate who has scored 60% (PCM i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Maths) and 50% (English) in 12th class
2. B. Sc in Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry/ Electronics with 55 % marks.
3. B.Tech candidates with 50 % in English recognized by AICTE.
4. Sc- 3 years- 60% (PCM) and 50% (English) in 12th Classes. For B.Sc in Ship Building and Repair only 50% in PCM.

Age Requirement
A candidate needs to have age not greater than 25 years at time of applying. For reserved category students like SC/ST Not more than 30 years of age.

IMU CET Exam Pattern

Exam Mode: The exam will be conducted through online (CBT) mode only.

Type of Question: The question paper will consist of multiple choice questions (MCQs) only.

Duration: Total 3 hours will be allotted to the candidates for solving the question paper.

Total Questions: There will be total 200 questions for UG courses and 120 questions will be for MBA and M.Tech courses.

Marking Scheme: 1 mark will be awarded on each correct response.

Negative Marking: No marks will be deducted on unattempted or negative response.
